Fly Fishing
The Hotel Forstinger's private fly fishing stretches are a center of attraction for fly fishermen from all over Europe and overseas, who return every year as our guests in Schärding. The quality of the fly fishing of the Antiesen and Mühlheimer Ache are widely spoken about.
Famous fly fishermen such as Roman Moser, Hansrudi Hebeisen, Thomas Dürkop, Ari't Hart and Hans Gebetroither have been our guests, and have gladly returned many times.
The hotel Manager Margret Forstinger likes to fish, along with her partner Frank and father Willi Forstinger who also takes care of the fishing grounds.
The stretches have been described in many publications, such as the prominent magazine "Fly Fishing". One of the authors of this magazine, who fly fishes at our Schärding stretches, is Bernd Kuleisa. He has written many articles and books about practical fishing and about the most beautiful destinations in the world.
