Mühlheimer Ark
The Mühlheimer Ark has a lengths of 3 km and is 17 km off the hotel. The Ark is "the" area within the Forstinger Route for dry fly fans. Here we find a rich stock of ladder-loving brown- and rainbow trout stocks that, with the right conditions, can be lured to the surface from spring to late autumn. Of course, the surface activity follows the hatching phases of the corresponding insects; outside of these times, nymphs fished in deep water promise more success.
The shores are partially densely overgrown and it is the bigger fish that feast under the overhanging branches...
